Chicken mozzarella homemade tomato sauce fresh basil
A lightly fried chicken breast escalope smothered in homemade tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil leaves then baked in the oven. A classic of Italian-American communities as it originated in the United States. It was created by the Italian community and has it’s origins in Italian cooking.it is also known as Chicken Parmesan because it is thought it’s origin was Parma in the north of Italy. Very confusing but undeniably delicious.
Serve with crusty bread and a crisp green salad or roast potatoes and green vegetables.
