Tuscan plum cake
This is a rustic country recipe using fresh plums cooked in a sponge batter to give a lovely moist cake.
It’s charm is in it’s simplicity but if you are feeling indulgent then all it needs is fresh cream or mascarpone.
Ingredients: Fresh plums, unsalted butter (milk), free range eggs, caster sugar, vanilla essence, plain flour (milk), baking powder and milk
